So I made the mistake of wasting time on sf_drama and stumbled upon a thread in which a person who briefly referred to a couple of kids "crotch droppings" in her post to a community. This was deemed offensive, sexist (hurr) and derogatory towards children.

10/10, would rage again.

Bitches need to man the fuck up. If you're going to be offended can it at least be over something legitimate?

Oh, and you know what's REALLY sexist? Apparently me being female means that I must just love and adore feminism and so my professor has given me several journal articles to read on the subject,  LOL IRONY HGFJHGAFDSJGFDJSAFG I don't want to hear how a pen is a phallic symbol of MALE OPPRESSION :(

Bizarre. Excluding one lecturer who dug feminism and I thought was cool (unrelated, I think. She was nice lady.) no-one talks to me about that shit at uni, and when I do, people think I'm weird.

I guess you're doing journalism and I'm doing IT lol?

(How frustrating is that? Someone not interested in the shit gets it shoved on them, and someone interested gets stfu. Hmm.)

My friend had a feminist for a lecturer once who marked her creative writing assignment down because it was sexist :/ That was seriously the reason she gave.(Was a story about soldiers in WWII, 'cos there were so many wimmenz in the army in 1942.)

We really don't have to use HTML past this one course in first year lol. I have been asked to write other peoples womenstuff assignments before. I hate essay writing though. I only had to write two essays in this whole multimedia/IT time. I took a voluntary arts course with four essays in one subject, holy shit. It was anxiety provoking, lol.

((Is it sad that "I hate essay writing" comes before "I don't want to get myself or my friends in academic trouble."? The way I rationalize it is that if I were doing that sort of thing, its not like someone would be handing in two identical assignments, and it doesn't seem like lecturers get a good enough guage of an individuals writing style to notice, so unless the fired I'd be doing it for is a fucking idiot I don't see getting caught as a probable outcome.))

I remember chatting with someone who got kicked out of Griffith because he and his mate both turned in the same assignment. It wasn't even a real degree *cough says the wannabe journo*, it was a Bachelor of Philosophy! All you have to do is write bullshit for philosophy for 10 pages and if the teacher gives you a 3, argue that he can't be sure if either of you REALLY exist anyway!

But I digress. I'm slowly making my way through the readings, but what is with feminists and seeing everything as phallic? (See example in entry, one of many.) It's kinda like how Catholics see homosexuality in everything. "Spongebob has a best friend whose male, THEY'RE FILTHY SODOMITES!"
