... was spent surprisingly sober O_o Though Matt and I did manage to down some vodka early in the evening, all it did was make us tired. Curse our aging metabolism :(

In search of vantage, we ended up sitting at the foot of an old church at Red Hill. It was really neat, you could look down over the entire city and out past the mountain ranges. Of course a bunch of drunken teens decided to wander up from the Normanby and spoil our solitude (and by "our" I mean us and the >9000 families there). God, so many sirens went past on the main road. The watch house must've had four inches of puke covering the floor :(

Anyways, pictars!

"I'm late, I'm late! ... Does this mean I'm preggers?"

Outside the church. DEM LEGS :( :( :(

A very artistic shot of the fireworks.

VERY artistic. "The setting says 'fireworks' so they should come out perfect, right?!"

So now that we have left behind what many have claimed to be the shittiest decade ever (take that, Depression!), hopefully the next ten years will be filled with prosperity and happiness. Don't forget to put on a happy face for our new Chinese overlords- you can't spell ROTFLMAO without MAO!

So Melbourne was essentially a 7 day drinking fest.

The Boxing Day sales were packed with people - mostly yellow - lining up for ages outside places like Gucci and Armani. I was content with a half price cardican from Dangerfield. New Year's Eve itself consisted of a steampunk/neo-Victorian ball out at Carlton. I would have rather been watching X's countdown, but this was the next best thing- plus there were naked chicks and everybody likes that.

Special luffs go out to [livejournal.com profile] baorin_lee and [livejournal.com profile] rockeandroll for robbing me of my sobriety, [livejournal.com profile] kashiichan for making sure we won't be let into Heaven on Judgement Day, [livejournal.com profile] swiftylily for having the most comfortable boobs on Earth, [livejournal.com profile] sefieslj and [livejournal.com profile] rukubites for being generally awesome and also having exceedingly comfy mammories, and everyone who took the time to come out to Knox on Saturday. Also props to Jarrod for putting me up, though given that he has trouble discerning a microwave from a computer I suppose that's irrelevant.

PICS!

French delights! <3

[livejournal.com profile] rockeandroll marks her territory.

The best thing about Melbourne is the large gay community that keeps us safe by patrolling the parks at night.

Sure [livejournal.com profile] sefieslj is hot but is just getting vulgar.

I... wait, what?
