Heh. It's times like this - and like late last night when I refused to harm a large, scary-looking spider because spiders are a creativity familiar in Wicca - that I wonder if I made the right decision to leave Paganism ^_~ I'm just too lazy to maintain a religion, really. All those special dates, practices and gods... blech. I prefer to just go with the flow. I dunno- call me something between Pagan and Agnostic ^^
Actually, looking at some of the questions asked on the quiz, it makes me somewhat interested to do some research on those who worship Satan and/or Lucifer, just out of curiosity. Especially the latter. Anyone know where to start? 'Cos Google's full of crap, and I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for ^^; Not all that fatntasized stuff about evil and black magic... juvinile crap. Just stuff describing Lucifer as gentle and God as nasty, if that quiz is anything to go by.

Date: 2004-11-15 07:58 am (UTC)Lucifer tried to take over, but god sent him to hell. What if Lucifer really won? What if hell is really propaganda by the winning side? God seems to love punishing people (earthquakes, killing children, etc), whereas satan wants us to do fun stuff. Could it be that the power struggle ended differently than the bible claims?
Also, hell makes no sense. Why does satan punish people who piss off god? Wouldn't they all get along well? Hell would be one big party.
Sounds like a big scam. Satan is actually employed by god.

I read a cool scifi book once which had a bit where people tried to explain god to a sentient computer. The computer said that any "god" which demanded worship by threat of punishment was either faulty or had a severe inferiority complex.

I had a few books on occult stuff, but loaned them to a guy and never saw him again. Damn it. Not that I believed that stuff, it was just good reference material for games. :)
