Melbourne stuff again

Heh. Some of Sefie and Sora's comments remind me how much I still want to go down to Melbourne ^^
Hopefully I'll have a bit of money after dropping out of this evil course. I'm going to get a job for a little while, just so I can whack something on my resume (and again, money). Nothing much- maybe just something over the holidays, or as a Christmas casual or something. Then as soon as I can, I'm packing my bags. There's going to be two tricky parts to my plan though, and those are:
*Finding a job in Melbourne
*Finding a place to stay in Melbourne
The first one should be... meh. I'll go through a job agencey, which definatly increases my chances of getting a full-time job. That'll be excellent. I'll also be on Centrelink's job search until then, so I'll still be getting around $200 a week. Hm. Wonder if I can still claim that living away from home allowance?
And the second one, finding a flat or something. Kurochan said she'd help me look for a flat, but then there's the nasty inbetween time; you know, the time between arriving in Melbourne and finding a residence. That's what I'm kinda nervous and very unsure about. But I'm thinking I'll try to track down a cheap Backpacker's hostel I can maybe stay at 'til I find a flat. Can you just walk in and say "Hi, I don't know how long I'm staying for, but can you give me a room please?" Heheh. I reckon you should be able to. Ugh, I'm so inexperienced with all this stuff.
But the second I'm able to move into my own place, there's gonna be one helluva party! Well, okay, as much of a party as I can muster without the lanlord coming up and kicking me out. Yes I intened to bring my yaoi collection, and yes I can cook, so there'll be lots of sweets and orgasming boys. Possibly at the same time. o.o
