I hate you, Animania. I hate you so, so much.

Whilst I've known about this for a while, it was still a shock. "Mini-Animania Melbourne, July 2006".

Why would they want to come here?! The market's covered- we have Manifest AND Minifest! Why here? Why go for the same attendees as the convention that gave them their start in the world by providing them with notes and the like? Thanks for making the Australian con scene a COMPETITION, you bastards.

I want to. Fucking. Punch someone.

Er... yeah. Sure. Sefie thinks Sefie will give that one a miss... or even better, organise an EGL thing or rather on the same day XD

I wonder the people at Animania are thinking? Maybe, like Sefie told me, they're getting d.e.s.p.e.r.a.t.e...?

I like Sefie's suggestion for an EGL/EGA thing on the same day. ^.^

Please tell me they're not using the date to compete with AVcon too? -_-;

Bah... I'm going to AVCon...

Considering Animania's past track record, I dont imagine that they'll actually have many people attending.

I cant believe they'd have the gall to do this... The Melburnites might kill them.

It's hard for me to say seeing as I've only been to one Animania... but it seems as though their target audience is newcomers to the convention scene... so even if all the veterans sit it out, they can use mass advertising to call in the young and unexperienced :/

*Sighs*... Part of me totally regrets going to Animania. I mean, it was great meeting people at Artists Alley, but honestly, most of us artists were treated like we were non existant, esp. by Louis. ~_~ He didn't even glance over at us, let alone say welcome, thanks for coming, or anything like that.

Animania IS taking it too far with their mini-conventions. They should just concentrate on making their Sydney one better because currently, it's crap. >_> SO many problems with the convention.

I want to come to Manifest next year!!! ;___; The Oztaku guys are so cool! XD And the DoujiCon they're talking about sounds totally neat. I would definately try my best to attend that!
