friezaess | Egypt this, emo that

Today was both fun and a little sombre. I'd be lying if I said I didn't laugh or have fun through the day. I'd also be lying if I said I didn't shed a tear or two.

Some of us Manifestees, including the vacationing Setsuna, paid a visit to the Ancient Egypt exhibition at the Melbourne museum. Eh... meh. I mean checking out ancient relics is interesting and all, but Egypt is so overdone. And like many exhibitions and documentries before it, the show concentrated more on the aspect of death than it did life. There's more to Ancient Egypt than just mummies, people >.< These people had lives!

The rest of the time we spent bumming around the city. *sigh* I just want to get a small group of friends together like Dani, Jaq, Byron, Erica and such, and just go have a few drinks at Robot sometime soon. I feel like I'm waging war on myself as I try to stay ontop of my emotions and cling to days gone by. I guess that's why I was upset today; things are similar yet different, and I don't want them to be different. *invents time machine or something*

Slept on the train a bit on the way home. I was up 'til 3am working on a drawing I decided I just *had* to get down on paper. Damn you inspiration >.
