Can't... feel... eyeballs...

Oh God. Where do I start?
Friday night was
5hi_tenshi's biffy. Stupid Tamarket kept e-mailing me to say they'd sold out of things I'd tried to order for her birthday, so on Thursday I made a rushed trip to Alternate Worlds and got her a Chi plushie. When all else fails, plushies=<3! The party was pretty crowded. I'm suprised everyone managed to squeeze in! It was a good party, with the usual drinking and dancing. (Some of us attempted a conga line at one point, and ye olde "Macarena" was played... ah, memories!) A lot of the Manifriends and even some OzTAKU kids were there, so it was a good chance to socialize. ZOMG, many cakes @_@
The crowd slowly started dissapating, and our mob (consisting of myself, Kit, Sheru and... um... someone I forget the name of ^^;) headed back here soon after the party's scheduled drop-off time of 2am. I think I got an hour's sleep, because I had to get up early to work on my hide costume for Minifest later that day. Unfortunatly it was too early for me to use the sewing machine, so Shi-chan and I sewed it by hand on the 7am train. I sewed my unfinished pants onto another pair of pants... yeah... that cosplay was really shocking and ended up falling apart thoughout the day, but dammit, I couldn't NOT cosplay to an anime con, no matter how small!
I hate the Old Arts building. I really truley do. I was reminded of just how much I hated it as I donned my Manifest committee coat and trotted around trying to find my way in and out of places. It's like a maze @_@ My first assignment (after helping stamp tickets and stuff) was to help man the merchandising table. Not a great deal of business, but still enough to keep one occupied.
nekopan was there for a bit of it, before
sora_ishida came to join me. We read Yami no Matsuei sexiness ^^
It was a bit tricky trying to find people to replace me at the end of my shift (MAS members were allegedly supposed to take over but I didn't see any), but I managed to round up a couple of people before Katie and I ducked off to catch a bit of FMA. It was alright for what it was. (The brother in the iron suit's adorable!)
Anyways, next on the agenda was manning the cel painting class with Kirk. Um... yeah. I did what I could to help out, but there's not a great deal you can do when people are just sitting there quietly and painting (aside from the occasional water change and helping pack up afterwards). Was visited by Katie, Hannah and Tom-kun throughout the class, and we had fun eating pizza and drawing Weiss boys on the whiteboard! (... Weissboard?)
After that and a bit of wandering around, us fangirls headed into one of the screening theatres for Yami no Matsuei. However, two episodes just wern't enough, so we took over the volunteer's screening room and played the next episode on the DVD! It was awsome having a room full of close-knit yaoi fans! The room was also used for such things as playing the "I LIKE BUKKAKE!" flash.
Speaking of bukkake, afterwards we headed out to Box Hill for Shi-chan and I's joint birthday party! It was at an overpriced karaoke joint ($18 for a jug of plain softdrink >_>) at Box Hill. I got a bit pissy at the disorganization, but once things got started it was good fun. Shi-chan and I did our rendition of "Born to be Wild" (complete with jumping on the couch), and Katie and I did a couple of duets throughout the night.
The cake Shi-chan made was awsome; a very rich cookies and cream delight with "BUCK CAKE" spelt out in chocolate sticks ^__^ (No I wonder who thought that one up ^_~)
So yes, t'was a good night. I was absolutley dead when we got home around 2:30am. I got some cool pressies though! Some beautiful drawings from A-chan, Sheru, Nichole and Asham that give me even more incentive to get my own place so I can go insane and decorate the walls! And on the topic of walls, Tom-kun gave me a big-ass Family Guy poster. Yup, definatly going to go on an insane decorating spree ^^
kitsunesakurano gave me some cool skeleton socks, and later on today I was presented with a nice shirt from her and the household. Nice an' warm ^^ Tina also gave Shi and I an adorable teddy bear each when she first saw us at Manifest. Like I said, plushies=<3
I wanted to go into the city today, but sleep is more important. Better get ready to hop on a plane soon!
