Anyone got some good corp goth inspiration pics on hand? My first pay cheque will probably be going to Modcloth and TaoBao for "acceptable alternative" stuff I can wear into the office. Like I really needed another excuse to buy clothes.

I'm enjoying my last few days of freedom before I start at the Courier-Mail two Mondays from now. I still don't have my grades back, it'd be pretty shit if I'd failed a course right as I'd been accepted into a grad program >_> Life likes to troll me like that sometimes. On the flip side, Kylz, Jess, Caitlin and I are roaming West End for celebratory cocktails tomorrow night which is going to be so much fun! (I'm starting to feel like we're the Sex and the City girls without the prostitution.) I just hope I'll be able to sober up for Harry Potter in the morning X_x

I've been wearing a bunch of my lolita blouses to work. Hell, what I'm wearing now is probably corp-goth. Lolita button up black blouse, black tiered but work appropriate length skirt. Once my boss looked me up and down and assured me he hadn't died, lol.

Black pinstriped shirts and skirts can be really cute for corp goth. Cute victorian inspired black jackets, you know the waist length ones, they can be nice.

Classic lolita stuff has been working for me, my moitie dress. Not gothic, but you could get some stuff in black>

Haha, even paris windows with no petticoats and a black work jacket over top has gone over well, but thats starting to seem a bit too over the top and I do it rarely.

I remember trying to look up pictures on the internet when I started working, but a lot of them are really faily.

Sounds like a great example of urdoinitrite.jpg. I ordered some solid black stuff off TaoBao I should be able to get away with, though it's a tad depressing thinking that my more extravagant attire is now a prisoner of the weekend. Hurr, being an adult and all but goddamn.

Yeah, the pictures are really awful, I did a search before I posted. Not to mention the websites who try and pass a standard pinstripe suite off as corp goth and try and flog it for $300 because ZOMG THIS IS SO SPECIFICALLY GOTH AND NOT AT ALL FROM WAL*MART
