Yesterday at uni was... argh. Okay, so you get a bunch of pretentious creative types together in a big room and expect them to work together for the rest of the semester? Oh Visual Communication, how I loathe thee for both your students and the fact that you're trying to turn me into an advertising agent. Unfortunatley the person who is most dominant in my group is a 17 year old child with more ego than brains. As in, she insists on doing the exact opposite of what we've been instructed to do and gets pissy when I argue. The other three people in the group don't really care enough to put up a struggle. I'd happily take on extra work if it meant avoiding these sorts of situations. Fuck being able to network, communicate and work as a team, srsly. I know it's supposed to be part of the whole jErNaLiZm ExPeRiEnCe, but it just makes me wanna bust some heads.

I wonder if 1:44pm's too early to crack open tha Kahlua?

Oh god, I had a subject just like that. Exactly - minus the focus on journalism, it just had to be a production in some form of media. It was the last hurdle to me getting my degree - I've attempted it twice and now I think nothing is worth doing that again. NOTHING.

Ack, yeah, I can totally see why you wouldn't want to put yourself through that. It's enough to make anyone go homicidal. And yet this is the sort of environment people in advertising work in on a day to day basis. Yet another reason to hate the industry.
