This, that and the other thing

friezaessI'm not very good at... well, everything and anything. I used to do a fair bit of writing way back in the day and somehow won a couple of prizes/got published (in smalltime things no-one knows about), but it's been forever since I've done anything on the fiction front. However, when a tutor selects two people's stories from the class to enter into a competition and your's just happens to be one of them... well... I still got it.
However, one thing I no longer possess is independance. Father flew back from Adelaide today meaning no more ingesting illicit substances and watching TV in my underwear (Homer Simpson would be proud). Funny story- my dog has figured out how to lock the door FROM THE INSIDE. Thankfully I'd left the back window open and so Dad climbed up a ladder (yeah, it's a good 4 metres off the ground) and weasled his way inside after my attempts at kicking the front door down prooved unsuccessful. Muchos gracias Kylie for letting me chill at your place TT_____TT I didn't particuarly wanna pay $20 for parking at the airport >_>
Speaking of the airport, I'm going to be seeing a lot of it in the coming days thanks to Supanigra and all you crazy interstaters <3 It's really weird seeing the Manifest and AVCon logos on TV at the end of the commercial. It's going to be even weirder going to a "con" after having quit the scene in early 2007. I can't believe I'm actually going to have to pay to get in for once -_-; Jhonen Vasquez had better sign my man boobs.
