The good, the not bad and the ugly.

friezaessHuggles to everyone consoling be over my employment wangst. Truth is stranger than fiction. Therefore, blatant lies are more easily believed by employers and sick family members garner far more empathy than admitting one's own incomptance. Long story short, I can keep my job. Which is good BECAUSE... (Oh yes, this requires a new paragraph.)
Turns out that I can apply to study overseas much sooner than expected, meaning that instead of waiting until semester 2 next year rolls around I should be getting on a plane sometime in January. Squee! Whilst I love anything that involves, well, going places that aren't Brisbane, I do tend to get terribly homesick. Whether I'm away for two weeks or two years, it's always the same. Is it because I miss my family? My home? No. It's because I love my dogs more than almost anything. It kills being away from them and has proven to be quite an obstacle in the past. Oh my sweet little pigdogs, you melt this icey heart.
Today was Market Day at UQ. What's so interesting about this? There were... cosplayers. Like, five of them. They were all pimping their shitty little anime club which bragged that their fun levels were OVER 9000! I... I can't find the words. However, given my past life I did talk to them a bit. Turns out IJC (UQ's old anime club) finally folded the previous year. I wasn't at all surprised considering how anti-social those guys were (in stark contrast to BAS which was... BAS). Honestly it feels a little strange not being familiar with 85% of Brisbane people on the anime scene anymore.
I need to quit pulling into 7-11 after visiting Kylie, those Slurpees can't be helping my weight >_>

America's pretty cool, for living in anyway. I would go there one day only for food. Breakfast donuts, sweet bread and massive pizzas, hell yes. You won't be able to fly back here unless you buy a 2nd seat for the extra rolls, new policy for most airlines :P
