Hello to you,

I am one of the infinite number of aspiring artists intent on forcing you to bear witness to the product of an ungodly amount of boredom and insomnia present in one's system that manifests itself in earnistly manufactured doodles and renderings.

I would ask that you take look at my art and see if it's worthy of filling up space in your shop, be it on display for all to see or on the back of your bathroom door to mock as you fill the bowl with recycled Chinese food from the previous night.

All my love (and delluded hopes of grandeur),
~S. Dorfield

Hi Friezaess,

Thanks for your email.  As you can imagine we do receive lots of artist enquiries every week.

Right now, Outre Gallery is not seeking work from new artists.

Just to explain our exhibiting policy and the way our space works:
Basically, we specialise mostly in US counter-culture/lowbrow artists who are known to our customer-base through magazines like Juxtapoz.  Most of the artists in our stable have an established audience and reputation within the genre.  Most of the time we show a hand picked selection of different artists which changes as new work arrives - all hanging salon style.  At the moment, we do have more work than we have space to show.  As far as special feature exhibitions, we only do these on average 3 times a year, and when we do it is generally of one of our core high profile artists.

There are many factors that dictate what and who we show, and a rejection from us is no indication of the quality or integrity  of your work.  Unfortunately, we do not have the time to critique individual folios or work - so thanks for your understanding.

I don't want to sound overtly negative, but I just thought I should let you know how we work, and at this point we are not able to help you with representation or exhibition.

Thank you for considering Outre, and we are keen to hear about your future projects.

all the best with your practice and future exhibitions,
cheers
Gemma and Martin

Meh, was worth a shot (though I do wish the reply consisted of more than copy/pasta from the website).
