Obligatory Manifest 2006 post
Sep. 25th, 2006 02:44 pmOh dear lord I'm tired, though I'm sure not nearly as much as some of the execs.
Manifest 2006 has been and gone. We laughed, we cried, we fapped over hawt cosplayers. The whole weekend's a blur, and it feels like it happened weeks ago, not days @_@
I'm really not sure what to say right now. It's still all sinking in. I'll do a proper report... sometime.
I didn't do a good job with Anime Idol -.- I even spent money on something I thought would help me do my job properly, but it did shit all >.> Bah. (Though
bioslaya's uber chunky smoothies seemed to do the job XD)
Noteably less socialising, as both myself and
ladykagome were bitterley aware of. I don't know why.
rainsquall mentioned somewhere that it could have something to do with the lack of Maniforums. Iunno.
I got another hide plushie! That makes 6 in the collection, mwahaha.
For once I had a decent costume. I was so proud... er... though I did kinda maybe end up using staples on Saturday... *ahem* But Yoshiki cosplay went pretty well, and it was fun to give the goth-loli look a shot on Sunday :3
I actually had some pretty emo moments in between all the festivities due to an array of circumstances, which is pretty silly considering Manifest is one place where everyone should be having fun; as I hope everyone reading this did!
The afterparty was pretty cool, 'cept the bar closed kinda early. I spent most of my time handcuffed to a hide plushie, fraternising with people from various states and getting yelled at by Tai for using his lighter to smoke Pocky with. So many jugs of rum and coke... @_@
Feeling a little down 'cos I'm not going to be on the committee for 2007. It's so great running around in a frenzy on the day, but those 5 hour bitch sessions every fortnight that lead up to it are infuriating.
Welp, I think I should prolly go kick the Tasmanians back at the hostel. *crashed in Evo and Billi's room last night* NO HANGOVER, W00T!
