So after flogging bits and pieces of my anime collection I've accumulated some money. I want so badly to spend it all on clothes, but logic dictates that I must put it towards saving up for Uni next year.

However, being far from logical I would like some thoughts on what outfits I should buy.

I have a terrible sense of style, so if you've got some time to kill I'd really appreciate it if you could have a look at these two links and tell me what you think would look good on my hideous being.

Some outfits.

Some other outfits.

And if you know of anything else that would look good keeping me un-naked, I would be so thrilled if you could link it ^^; (Keeping in mind I'm a fatass who would need to lose everything from the neck down to fit into most EGL stuff.) I'll even give you hugs and special kisses that only mummies and daddies can do ;_;

I'd be careful with F+F, because what you order on their site may be different from what you get. They have a lot of different seamstresses working there, and some of them are quite shoddy, and their sizes are all over the place.
If you want a knee-length dress tell them in caps lock; otherwise they won't get it. (Most people get their F+F dresses, and they are waaaaay too long!)

:D

Gah. Thanks for the advice... I'd rather not spend $150 on something that fits like a pillow case -_-;

I think clothing is a good idea but I think saving money is also important. What you should do is set up a new bank account with a different bank and don't get a card for it (or if you do give it to your dad - if anyone'll keep it safe, it's him.) Deposit a certain amount of your pay each month into it (say 10 - 20%) and the rest you earn is food and clothes money. If you don't have enough money for clothes then save up for next pay - you are a really good saver from what I remember!

I know this is hard to do and I'm rather guilty of it too. I mean I earn too much money to be broke every time it's finally payday so from next month I'm going to be a really good girl and deposit that money into my other account.

As far as choosing clothes, I think once in a while you should practice your sewing skills. Buy a pattern (make sure you ask for it in your size because they do have them!) and ask for advice. Yeah this can be a bit expensive and what if you screw up - if you do, turn the cloth into an accessory to pin to clothes you already have. Practice makes perfect, right? Now if only I'd practice some Go and drawing - hmm think I'll do that today. ^_^

I actually have a pattern from one of the Jap loli magazines I downloaded which I'm trying to decipher with moderate success. Maybe I should just glue some fabric to my skin XD

As for budgeting, the vast majority of what I earn from working goes straight into my "uni account"... I wanna splurge ^^;;

I think you should practice becoming a yakuza.
