Check it out!

I used to be huge into all things yaoi, shounen ai and bishounen, but now I'm kinda over it.

I have an auction of over 40 yaoi manga and DVDs up for sale on eBay! You know you want 'em XD

You can't just slap bam the whole lot in one go on ebay. No one's going to pay for it. You're better off splitting up the stuff or making a big post in your LJ listing all the stuff then hunt around LJ for selling communities and cross post. I've heard this is actually more effective than ebay and you get better customers. I've made dealings through LJ before and I love it! (And yes people do still deal with paypal!)

Oh and try to snap some clearer photos. Maybe one series per photo.

oh and region 4 dvds won't work in America, so you might have trouble selling them outside Australia.

-____- Dude... it's like.. not that hard to get a region 4 dvd player ya nob... like it's not hard for us to get dvd players that play region 1 and so on... Just cause their on the other side of the globe doesnt mean they cant get their hands on a region 4 dvd player...

then again, are they smart enough to even think of it?

You sound like you have a region free dvd player and watch a few international dvds yourself. Either that or you go through the alternative method of ripping and reburning all your international dvds on a region free setting. Hacking the DVD drive of your computer also works but there can be severe hardware and firmware issues and some of the hacking software isn't too reliable (a friend of mine has already ruined his laptop drive screwing with region settings.)

Maybe I should have added to my post that the extras on DVDs released in Australia are shit-tastic so I doubt an American buyer could really be bothered getting a region free player for DVDs that are available where they are with a hell of a lot more features.

FYI... I know jack shit on ripping and hacking. That shit is illegal man...

I DO have a free region DVD player which wasnt hatd to find OR buy as I only paid $50 odd for it out of Tandy. Maybe Americans should use EBAY to find dvd players like that there's bound to be hundreds of them fo sale. And Americans think the have it all anyway which I think is comeplete and utter bullshit but I'm not going to waste my time in arguing with someone I don't even know now do I wish to know since they make assumptions that just arnt true and all and as far as the Aust. imported DVD's are concerend here in Australia.... One can't be too picky with the regions and coding since it's hard enough as it is to come buy even HALF of these titles.. I know I spend alot of my time and hard earned trying to track these special dvd's down which i consider to be money well spend since i'm not a big fan of dubs with some anime series.

maybe you should come LIVE in Australia for a year or two and just see how hard it is to get your paws on some of the rare DVD;s that just happen to be floating around.

And as far as Shit-tastic is concerned....we have the best quality in region dvd's availiable.

(And Fri-chan... good luck on you auction... I hope everything goes well for you, although it is sad to see you're giving it all away... If I could.. I'd buy it all from you but, you know me... saving up for Manifest and all.. I do hope you will be there again this year so as I can glompish you much ^^'

lmao Born and bred in Brisbane Australia hun. And it may be rare to come across DVDs for US in Australia but I'd be almost willing to bet a good deal of money on the fact that the DVDs Fri's selling aren't as rare in America as you're suggesting:

Saiyuki Reload volume 1 (http://www.amazon.com/Saiyuki-Reload-1/dp/B0006FFRJS)
Animatrix DVD region 1 (http://www.amazon.com/Animatrix-Akio-%C3%94tsuka/dp/B00008LDPU)
Nightwalker volume 1 DVD region 1 (http://www.amazon.com/Nightwalker/dp/B0002S65P4)
(I'll admit Saiyuki and Nightwalker are getting old and hard to find but hey that's what Ebay America's for - if you had a choice of the same DVD local region or international region when both were available, honestly what would you choose?)

I'm aware that ripping is illegal but I deal with mostly Japanese and Australian DVDs and multi-region DVD players are a pain to find in Japan so I've had to use the ripping technique for a Japanese friend of mine when he BOUGHT a heap of DVDs while he was here in Australia (ones that weren't available in Japan.) Region coding SUCKS! It should either be abolished or DVDs should be available worldwide (which isn't very practical for a variety of languages.) Either that or EVERY DVD player should be region free.

Now the only reason I brought the matter of the DVDs up in the first place was because Fri posted to ebay in US$ - why not AUD considering the DVDs would be rarer here?

What-the-hell-ever! Let me know if an American actually lays claim to the DVDs. It'll only be then that you're proven right so quit wasting your time with me until that time.
