So allowing doctors to practice a procedure that is ILLEGAL is a sure-fire way to combat a problem, right? The argument is that it will help end backyard FGM and won't remove as much skin. That's right, they're only cutting off a little bit of vagina you guys, no biggy! Unfortunately we're not the first Western country to discuss this shit. Apparently child abuse is okay if it's a cultural thing.
Of course the real question here is, which side will the Socialist Alternative take? "To disagree is to judge their culture by our own standards and is bigoted and racist, but to agree means I can't maintain my feminist blog... BAWWWWWWWW"
