Throwing money at people wins hearts
Dec. 17th, 2008 11:08 amOver the weekend I caught a glimpse of what I will look like in 10 years time thanks to a huge wrinkle that was under my eye which has finally vanished after 72 hours. Trying to get eyeliner off with nail polish remover is a terrible, terrible idea :(
On Sunday the local frillies indulged in purikura and pancakes - honestly, the staff at The Pancake Manor must be so desensitised by now - before retreating back to Madame Kylie's to take in a screening of The Dark Knight, complete with window-rattling surround sound. It was a fun-filled night of lulz, cat's urine and the occasional boob grab. It's a shame public transport stops running so early (as I'm sure Andrea and Catline will testify), you chickadees are awesome to hang out with. Someone needs to put on a movie night at some point. Possibly me if I can ever get my house looking presentable. *eyes imported copy of Kamikaze Girls*

On a semi-related note, yesterday when Kylie and I were wandering around Chermside looking at gaudy hippie shops, I discovered that I had indeed recieved the Government's Christmas present- all $1200 of it O_O;;; This is the most money that's been in my bank account since March (and prior to that, 2005). I think I'm going to put aside $700 to invest in a new couch which has been desperatley needed since 2004, put aside a couple hundred for a rainy day and just have fun with the rest (PARASOL).
