All in a day's work?
Apr. 16th, 2006 02:42 amBooyah. Downloaded a bunch of oldskool music from several decades before my conception, including a song called 98.6 that is FAR more peppy than I remember it being.
Had a look at a few jewelry stores today seeing as my folks wanna get me something shiney for the ol' 21st. Nothing all that original. I must be one of the few females on earth who will turn down diamonds in favour of amethyst.
At any rate, 4pm eventually rolled around and I met dear ol' Pipeline with a flying glomp outside EB at Chermside. My goodness that chap makes his way across the continent! Usually I don't start drinking 'til at least after five, but hey, these Tasmanians have strange and unusal customs and we ended up spending the next couple of hours in Gilhooley's doing a whole lotta talking. It's interesting learning more stuffs about AI-Con. I still wish I knew what percentage of the attendance came from interstate. Dafydd's the kind of guy you can realy have a good long yammer with, and it was indeed a most enjoyable arvo.
Now, my parents had been doing shopping whilst all this was happening. Dafydd also needed to pay myself and Dani back a couple of bucks. Unfortunatly my father went into overly-protective parent mode (which he thankfully chose to voice AFTER the catchup session) when he saw me walking around with a thrity year old man who was handing me a twenty dollar note -.-; Thankfully he didn't dwell too much on it, but ARGH. I get the feeling I am being uberly coddled to make up for my leave of absence @_@
