PLEASE LET US GET IT!
Jan. 14th, 2006 03:57 pmI spent the past few days running all over South East Melbourne with Nichole. Long story short, we're both currently hoping against all hope that we get a house we applied for. It's a really nice two story place at Mount Waverly with five bedrooms and a fireplace that some guy's putting up for rent for only $380 a week, but the real reason we're so giddy over it? IT HAS A FOUR PERSON SPA AND A POOL! @_@ Rory, Jarrod and Pam will also be moving in, so we're all kinda depending on it. I think only one other group is going for the place, and Nichole gets a call tomorrow to find out whether we've got it or not. (Those of you going to Mark's LAN will be sure to see an interesting reaction from myself halfway through the day, whatever the verdict may be.) So please wish us luck and keep us in your thoughts, because it is exceedingly important that we get this house. We promise to invite you all over for a pool party!
Thursday saw Sorrell burning copius amounts of petrol as he drove Kit, Shi and myself out to his home at Dromana. Mein gott it's a long way out! It's the sort of place you'd move to when you retire; quiet, out of the way and right near a beach. After lunch (Kit was right, Sorrell's mum could probably outcook Ian Huetson), we went for a drive along he beach and up a mountain witha dodgey looking chairlift. Unfortunatly it was tourist season, but we got some awsome views of the ocean. I also managed to drop my shoe in a rock pool later on. Me smart.
Nichole was staying at my place Tues-Fri, and when Kit was driving me home she and Kyle were bumming around on the street corner near my place. Possibly pimping Kyle out, I don't know. But we ended up back here chatting with Kyle distracted by my X-Japan and hide PVs whilst Rory, Nichole and I worked freverently on our rent application forms.
Bah. I'm too consumed by this house thing to give a decent summary of the past week, so let's just say I now have a greater understanding of how to read the Melways and need to save more money for AI-Con >.>
