I'm packing. Man. It's hard going through some of my wordly posessions here. Like taking a trip back in time. ... Actually it's been kinda heart wrenching going through some things. I'm kind of taking a break to try and recover a bit.
Went out with Dani, Jaq and Aaron to the city today. We had a hot choc at some chocolate cafe in QV taht Dani had mentioned earlier. The thing about this cafe is... their mugs are apparently supposed to be shaped like cocoa beans or something. Unfortunatly, they more resemble certain parts of the female anatomy. It didn't help that there was a line of chocolate down the middle, either. Rather than mugs, Jaq had dubbed them muffs. ^^; (I made Dani do a jig for $2 she needed for hot choc... I'm a bitch XD)
We did our fair share of wandering in search of gloves for our dear Pole's cosplay, as well as spending far too much time wandering around Myer and laughing at the iMacs. It always amuses me when a seasoned PC user, especially a techie like Aaron, is contronted with an Apple mouse. A look of confusion and concern slowly spreads over their face as they search for the right mouse button. Then when you show them how it workd, their shock and disbelief is priceless.
No considering no-one could decide what to do for dinner, Aaron ended up taking us to a really bodgey Chinese resteraunt in what has been dubbed by Jacqui-chan "Rape Alley". Everything in the menu had meat in it, and whilst normally I would have been okay eating something with a little bit of beef in it... I've been ruined by exposes on such places. So I played it safe with steamed rice and fried ice cream. Dinner conversations were predictably amusing, as always when you have kids like us together in an enclosed space.
We finished the night on a high note by induldging in some Print Club. They turned out really well ^_^ We left the city around 7:30 so Aaron could get to work semi-on time. I much prefer meets with just a couple of good friends than big groups of us all.
Tomorrow's the big day. I don't know when I'll be able to get on-line again, so please forgive my tardiness. (I'm sure you're probably used to me updating this thing at the drop of a hat.) I think Jaq's managed to rope Dani and Nichole into helping me move tomorrow, which is good.
Gah, my left mouse button hasn't been working since last night. I feel like I'm using a Mac again >.< And speaking of all things geeky... OMFG, UTAS FORUMS GOT H4XX0RD!!!
