Last night Dani, Aaron and I wandered over to Knox in the frigid cold. Oh yes, it's been VERY cold, but sadly it's seemed to snow everywhere EXCEPT out here. Lucky southern suburbs ;_; Our quest was to find Dani some fabric for her Osaka cosplay for tonight's SAC party, but alas, we did too much beating around the bush and didn't get to Lincraft before it closed. Gah. On the plus side, I got to try my very first cinnamon roll (yum!), and we bumped into Byron and Kirsty along the way. My parents called while I was out, and so I decided to amuse myself by putting my Hitler-worshipping father onto poor Polish Dani. Needless to say, that convo didn't last too long ^^;
We ended up seeing Kung Fu Hustle, which was rather laughable. Something along the lines of 1920's gangster flick meets Shaolin Soccer. And I got to have a long-awaited popcorn ice-cream, so I'm happy. (Dani and Aaron liked it too XD)
Tonight, as previously mentioned, was the Swinburne Anime Club party. Though I'm not a member myself, it seems that everyone else is, and thus I tagged along in my crappy Aya cosplayers. (Cosplayers got in cheap. w00t!) There was limitless booze... which unfortunatly only consisted of beer and cold sake. Blah. But it was fun hanging out with the likes of
sora_ishida and chatting about various bishounen and yaoi innuendo.
I found it quite cute that there were chalk arrows with "SAC party" scrawled on the ground as soon as you went to exit the train station XD
