Today was dear ol' [livejournal.com profile] baorin_lee's belated birthday party. Three weeks belated.

Anime Cafe seems to be the new home for the Manifestees, so we gathered there. Gee, our mob practically took over the joint! The staff didn't seem to mind at all though. It was good fun. I got to catch up with [livejournal.com profile] sora_ishida and lend her Gravi manga! The darling had gotten me a Tokyo Babylon manga as a belated birthday present, but unfortunatly seeing as I have the whole series, I didn't really have a need for it. I'm just greatful she can exchange it- how bad would I feel if the shop had a no refund/exchange policy ^^;

So there we sat for four hours, giggling at stupid things and myself, as usual, battling it out with Kyle. (That's right... I really need to have a shower. Several people thought it would be amusing if they poured sugar in my hair >_>) [livejournal.com profile] azusachan rocked up with this really awsome tie she'd made for Byron with a spider's web sewn into it. Damn, I wish I was creative!

As our group of myself, Jaq, Dani and Sorrell piled into the car to go home, we cranked up the Evangelion theme on his external speakers and drove past the cafe with our heads out the window screaming jibberish and "Ja ne, minna!" It got some interesting looks from the suprised Manifestees ^^;

Now, as fun as the night was, the real fun was only just beginning. After getting some dinner at Hungry Jacks, I was still full of energy and didn't feel like calling it a night just yet. Dani and Sorrell suggested that we go up the mountain... and to my shock and delight, Jaq agreed! So at 10:30pm we drove all the way up Mt Dandenong. Holy crap, driving up long winding roads that late can be quite scary when it looks like you're about to drive into trees! We went to the top, and my goodness was the cityscape beautiful. All those lights... in Brisbane there's only a few lights clustered close together, but here there's so much light that seems to stretch out forever!

Through the frigid temperatures, we wandered around in the dark and took some photos. I got to be a camwhore ^_^ As we descended back down, Sorrell took us up and down random dirt roads, and we ended up chasing a bunny at one point.

Now, when we got off the mountain, we were still bored. Now, what do geeks do when they're bored? They find a round about and drive around and around and around it whilst listening to Flash songs like "Bader Badger Badger" and the "All Your Base" remix! For some reason, we all found it quite hillarious, and I couldn't open my eyes due to laughing so much.

Unfortunatly, all this hooliganism gave me an idea. All I can say is FLASH ANIMATION XD

Gah. I don't like being scolded.

Today was the day we trekked out to Belgrave for the Puffing Billy Adventure! It was cold... it was drizzling... it was overcast all day, and there wasn't a time where I couldn't see my breath. Oh well, atmosphere I suppose ^_^ However, the weather was not what irked me. It was the fact taht we'd booked for twenty people other than Jaq, Dani, Sorrell and myself, yet only five or six others rocked up. Eh... all I'll say on the matter is that I certainly hope Jaq doesn't do anything too silly!

So, with our little group together, we boarded the train (had the whole carriage to ourselves thanks to Jaq's grandfather). It was exceedingly wet and cold, but people were allowed to sit on the windowsills and hang their arms/legs out the window, so I decided to do just that. I had to kick off my shoes so they didn't fall overboard, and let me tell you, I was wishing like hell I'd had time to put on some socks before I left >.< Twenty minutes later it felt as though I'd been walking on ice, and had to retreat back in the carriage ^^; Needless to say, there were some great views along the way.

It took us... I'm not sure, maybe about an hour or so to get to Emerald Park. Kyle and Sorrell had both brought along sausages... that's, what, around 50 sausages between 10-12 people? I brought along some marshmallows for toasting, which was kind of difficult on an electric cooktop. Eventually I just emptied the bag onto he plate and let them sizzle. They were still good ^_^ Seeing as we were all freezing our asses off, Sorrell kept pouring water on the "barbeque", and the steam that came from it warmed out frozen fingers right up.

There were numerous Skittle fights seeing as Matt brought a whole swag of them. There was a nearby lake with some pedal-powered boats, and though Dani and I had been looking quite foward to that, we were pretty sure they'd be closed considering the weather. There was also a neat waterslide taht Sorrell said he frequented as a child, but it was dry and full of dead leaves (not to mention the grate at the end of it. I actually had a rather nasty confrontation with someone at one point, but I don't particuarly want to dwell on that.

Some time later, after cleaning up and throwing bread at ducks, we headed back to Belgrave. Dani started doing concept art for the Flash animation I intend to go ahead with. She's got some really good ideas, and I reckon if I can refine them a bit so they fit Flash, it'd be uber-funky. Plus she's more creative tham me anyway, so ideas=good! At one point during the ride I opened the door on our carriage, just to see if it was possible to do so while the thing was in motion. Unfortunatly, Dani decided to do the same thing and stuck her head out... the train driver must have seen her, 'cause he gave her a piece of his mind when we stopped at the next station ^^;;; Scary!

I've just hopped out of the shower and, after shiverring all day, have finally managed to warm up. *hides under blankets* Soooooooo sleeeeepy...
