Last night was rather interesting. It was as though there was a strong northerly breeze as I came into contact with a whole barrage of Brisbanites. Mum and Randolf aside, I also talked to former BASsian buddies Collette and Tim/Kyo. Collette actually called me, asking why I wasn't at Supanova and wanting to catch up on the gossip. Also there was, to my "Oh my god what on earth are you doing there" shock was Setsuna! He and I have a bit of a history- last year we planned to meet up at Manifest, Supanova and Animania, but I only saw him at Animania. Actually it was a very lucky coincidence- him and his mate just happened to walk into the same resteraunt ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
fiathriel and us others were in ^^ Unfortunatly I couldn't hear very well due to poor reception and the phone ended up cutting out. Collette I haven't spoken to since I left BAS I think, and Setsuna I've only briefly chatted to on-line. But I have his e-mail now, so I shall stalk him.
The convo with Tim was also amusing. You see, there was a really horrid picture taken of me by Neil at the Alice in Wonderland shindig, which I ordered he remove from his online gallery. However, not wanting to sound too much like a spoiltsport, I allowed him to post it on 4chan. (Nekky-chan, if you're reading this... now you know ^^;) Someone commented on it saying they knew me, so I asked a couple of people and found out it was actually Tim. We had a several-hour long catch up session, and it seems BAS is still the way I left it; something of a "rent-a-date" service.
Today I caught up witheviltom because neither of us were particuarly fond of the idea of having to wait an entire week to see eachother again. It was the usual roaming around Box Hill aimlessly, which we quickly grew tired of. So instead we waited for a bus to take us to the big-ass park near his place. And waited. And waited.
Can I just take a moment to say how much a I loathe the bus services down here? Maybe it's just because I've never lived far away enough to have to catch a bus to catch a train, but it really pisses me off when a bus is ten minutes late, ensuring that you miss the train you were supposed to be on. It happened to me today. It also really pisses me off how the timetable leaves such little room for error- it's a 15 minute busride to the station from here, and the bus leaves here fifteen minutes before it's due to arrive at the station. Five minutes could mean an extra half hour of waiting when you get there.
However, eventually the bus did come, and we ended up wandering around Wattle Park for a while. We parted ways around 5ish because he had class and I needed to get back here. I was a bit peeved with myself at the end of the day when I recieved a call from Tom-kun not five minutes after I left him saying taht we could've spent more time together, but I really needed to get on a train in order to be home before dark. So from that point until I got home I was pissy at myself. *ears are bleeding from listening to X-Japan's "Unfinished" too much*
Tomorrow I have to go into Centrelink. Joy. I really need to get into this whole jobsearch thing more. *kicking herself for forgetting to buy a paper with jobs in it on Saturday*
