Manifest forums are down. Tamarket forums are down. Fan-fiction.net is full of crap, as usual. If it wern't for the DeviantArt and OzTAKU forums, I might actually have to do something constructive!! *sigh*
I'd like to say a very big spank you- or if you prefer, a variety of strange, funny-smelling red berries- to nekopan, sefieslj and pfcblogshere for their replies to my last post. (No I don't know how to link them so the little LJ logo comes up alongside their clickable name. Does the normal 'a href' stuff work for that? Meh.) I really do appreciate your support, and send out great big glomps to you all. It's really comforting to know I'm not going to be completley alone in this scary new city ^^ We must have some sort of strange, unadulterated flat-warming party...
On another front, I've a job interview, at a sushi place would you believe, at 3pm tomorrow. I really want this job, and considering that I'm interested in Japanese culture and have made sushi before (if neither of these apply to you, you do not fit the description of 'otaku'!), so I figure I'm in with a chance. And because it's a franchise, I'd love it if I were able to be transfered down to Melb when the time comes. It'd be nice to be guarenteed a job instead of wandering around on job search.
Another good thing! I might be getting my refund from QANTM this week! That would be an absolute blessing. As soon as I get that money, I'll know exactly where I stand with the move down south. It was actually running through my mind that I mightn't even get a refund because... well... QANTM can be simply psychotic sometimes. I don't pretend to understand them or their motives. I don't pretend to understand why they won't tell us the starting dates of our courses or decide that Diplomas cost significantly more than Degrees. After all, you can't argue with God. But thankfully the lady on the phone said that she'd be attending to that matter soon, so PHEW!
I spent today grooming myself to be a housewife. Went out and bought some groceries, did some Christmas cooking with Mum, before making dinner for myself and parents (crepes with cream cheese, challots and ham... since when do I eat ham?). Though I am totally in love with those Honeyjoys Mum and I made. They are so fucking deadly- I think by eating just one you're sentencing yourself to a future heart attack. But they're yummy, dammit >.<
Working on a Christmas picture of my 'Paper Cut' characters, when in fact I should be putting all my efforts into finishing the third chapter of the damn thing for OzTAKU. I've got about half teh pages sketched and the deadline's the 15th of January. *sigh* Why do I always put things off? And it doesn't help that my sleep pattern's all screwed up. I'm actually waking up before the sun sets- around 8am! And I'm going to sleep at a sensible time too! Today I awoke after only eight hours asleep, when I usually need fourteen! It would be nice if such habits lasted a lifetime, but I'm expecting to be going to bed at 4am and waking up at 4pm within a matter of days -_- Ah sweet daylight, I hardly knew thee.
