Question for religious people

friezaessThis is a question for all the religious people reading this. (Everyone else is welcome to reply of course.)
I was chatting with some Muslims the other day and several of them agreed that Australian culture, which started off as Christian, is nowadays leading more towards Atheism.
Do you agree? Why/Why not? If you do agree, do you think it's a bad thing? Why/Why not?
