I got treated ^_^

Seeing as [livejournal.com profile] kitsunesakurano does an anime column for a TAFE magazine, she got to go to a special media premiere thingy of "Howl's Moving Castle", and kindly invited me along. Though I almost fell asleep due to a late night and having to get up at 7am, the movie was good. I can't believe a Ghibli movie has a bish @_@ (And 'cos it was a media screening, we didn't hafta pay ^_~)

After lunch at Yoyogi, we parted ways and I caught up with Setsuna and some of the Wai-Con boys at Minotaur. Also briefly ran into dearest [livejournal.com profile] orpheneritus ^_^ After wandering around Anime Station and some random American comic book store, I showed the boys the anime shops at Box Hill. Um... did anyone else know Animezone stocks doujinshi? FMA doujinshi? FMA YAOI doujinshi?! ^^; We wandered around there for a while, before we headed off to Hawthorn for a stopover at the Anime Cafe. It was a good chance to catch up on all the gossip, and Sonictail was kind enough to buy me a hot chocolate and cake! *glomples him* I also got called "intelligent", which really doesn't happen too often.

So with Setsuna and aforementioned Wai-Con boys in town, the AVCon party hasn't finished just yet! I'm tempted to announce a trip to Robot Sushi on the Manifest forums after the museum meet, just to finish the tour. (Though Wai-Con peeps will be elsewhere that day.)

Sometimes I wonder if I'm more of a Con fan than an anime fan.

*nods* Oh yes you definitely are!

And that bishlicious Howl is voiced by none other than the famous and immensely popular Kimura Takuya of SMAP. Roll your eyes all you want but do some research and you'll find that he has been voted Japan's Sexiest Man on numerous occasions. (Though I think he's a little scary off camera.) The only let down of "Howl's Moving Castle" is the rather apparent lack of lines for Mr Kimura and thus for our leading hero, Howl.
