Happy Secular Shopping Period!
Matt drew me a vicious-looking picture of Lenin for Christmas. Now I'm scared there's Reds under my bed ;_;
Yesterday we went to Chermside at 2am for their 24 hour shopping thingy and HOLY CRAP was it hard to get a park. Seriously, when did staying up 'til sunrise become so... so... MAINSTREAM? D: There were people sleeping in the chairs at Borders and most of the shops were pretty packed. Some wannabe news team was pushing their camera around perched on a tripod in a shopping trolley. atratus_rowena and Cass from ye olde BAS, the latter of whom is now full of piercings and a manager at JB. A far cry from the screaming yuri fangirl from days gone by.
Got Christmas with the rellies in a few hours. I was going to go down to the Gold Coast with my companion penis to celebrate with his family, but I've noticed that our annual family reunion has been getting smaller ever since Mum started residing underground. I think now that we don't really have that link with the older generation (all my grandparents and most of our aunts/uncles are dead), it's become optional to have a gathering on Christmas Day. I'm not much of a family person myself, but I do miss the tradition :/ I guess sometimes Christmas kinda turns to shit when you grow up.
