O lawd, is dat some unrealistic planning?
Hm.
As far as I know, as long as you have a degree in SOMETHING you can teach English in Japan, even if, like this Bachelor of Arts I'm interested in, said degree only takes a year to complete. For someone as non-commital as myself, I'd like very much for that to be true.
Even if the course is in... Gladstone. *stomach churns*
Le sigh.
It's been four years since I've gone through the process of browsing for courses, and combined with the fact that I've only ever attained a level of "Diploma", I barely understand half of the above page >.<
"Majors: (no less than six courses in one discipline) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies; Australian history; Australian studies; communication practice; cultural studies; environmental geography; environmental studies; film studies; human geography; international history; Japanese language and culture; journalism; liberal studies; literary and cultural studies; literary studies; media studies; professional and creative writing; public relations; sociology; tourism; and welfare studies."
Right, so I bolded six majors I'd be interested in. That's easy enough. Wait, majors=dicipline, right?
And that's thirty-six courses all up... that sounds like an awful lot to cram into one year, or maybe I just never paid attention to how Unis work ^^;
"Specialisations: Students may choose two plans (or majors - no less than 12 courses) from a discipline area, and graduate with a specialisation (or double major) that will be noted on their testamur - eg Bachelor of Arts (History). Specialisations include: cultural studies; environmental studies; film studies; geography; history; journalism; literary studies; media studies; new media studies; professional studies (eg psychology, digital innovation, information technology, marketing); public relations; psychology; sociology; and tourism."
... Brain no worky...
But yeah, it's just a thought. I've been bumming around *TAC sites and seeing what's available for those who just wanna get their course over and done with.
Too bad I'm so much of a ditz -.-

Six courses means six subjects within that major. You need to pick two majors and do six subjects in each, I believe. And with arts you can do other random stuff too.

Thanks for pointing that out ^^;
