After spending around 10 hours in the city...
Today was very long, yet still managed to be fun. For you see, there was a Manifest/OzTAKU hoedown in the city. And someone decided it should have a gothy theme. Therefore, I fitted into all three groups ^_^ There was quite a bit of segragation between the groups, but I think the overall amount of socializing was pretty good for a first time thing. I mostly hung out with Kyle and Vanessa.
First we went for tea and cake at the cafe in Fed Square... it was expensive, but I can't really complain since it was my idea ^^; (It was nearby and looked semi-decent, dammit!) After checking out some back-alley shops (*swoon* now I remember why I love this city... so many little shops to explore!), we attacked Lincraft, before progressing to QV for lunch and chit-chat. There were quite a few of us @_@ Kyle and I developed a fighting machine, whereby he picks me up, I kick, and he aims me in teh direction of his enemies. Gwahaha!
Next stop (after losing the group around Melbourne Central >_>) was Japan Book Plaza. It was my first time there, and I found it quite intreguing. Lots of awsome stationary, and some gorgeous wing stickers that I want... but so very pricey. As we prepared to board a train to go back to the city, someone yelled out to get the next train due to stragglers. Unfortunatly not everyone heard that, and two were left waving out the train window as the thing pulled out before they could get off ^^;
Dani spotted a guy wearing a "Cheer Up, Emo Kid!" shirt around Flinders St. We both yelled out to him and praised him. Interesting place Flinders St. Tacky goths aside, there was a guy holding a sign that said "Free Hugs". Following Dani's suggestion, I tackle glomped him. Now I probably have AIDS or something >_>
Kyle got a new pet rat, which came with us to... suprise suprise... Galactic Circus. As cute as it was, why do all animals feel the need to pee on me? >.< When I was in the ladies' room, I noticed there was a syringe on the counter (no needle in it or anything). It was still in a safety-sealed sleeve, so I figured it was safe to use as a watergun.
Speaking of water, as I had done with Kyle earlier, I joined Rory for a leasurley stroll through the fountains as we left. On the way back, Rory, Dani and I defiled one of those God pamphlets taht get handed out with scribblings of Raptor Jesus. It's what happens when you get three addicted /b/tards in close proximity ^^;
