I don't think parents like to be reminded that their children are 'going to die anyway' from terminal diseases that they're trying to live through knowing that they're just watching their own children die in front of them.

Maybe us youngers will understand when we have children with terminal diseases. But then we've probably been through it before with pets and oldies.
