tl;dr- Perth guy is facing 14 years jail for posting a video on YouTube that featured him ragging on Jews. The charges? "Inciting racial hatred."
I actually read an excellent article on Crikey.com about this written by a real live Jew that essentially said freedom of speech > people whining about their feelings being hurt. Neil Gaiman agrees. (This entry from his blog was very popular around the time people were raging about the proposed internet filter.) If a person thinks we should send Jews to ze camps, or start a bloody revolution against whitey, or do a reinactment of what the settlers did to Tasmanian aboriginees, who gives a fuck? So long as they're not out there acting on those impulses (with, say, a bowie knife) people are entitled to their opinions no matter how fucked up they may be. It's called living in a free society.

Rapists get even less than 7 years if they've got a 'mental illness'. Try 1 year in the ACT for an abbo who repeatedly broke into women's houses and raped them.
