Let's get this year over and done with!

And thus ends another year. Take THAT 2004, you son of a bitch! I know the mere clicking over of a clock doesn't mean a great deal, but it'll be good to have this year over and done with!

I was invited out tonight but I felt too lazy. All that staying up 'til 4am didn't help. Sorry Erica-chan!

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Almost get arrested. *grins*

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I can't even remember making any resolutions this year. As for next year... well, the usual I guess. Lose weight, stop procrastinating, etc...

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I hope not O.o

4. Did anyone close to you die?
I think everyone's still accounted for.

5. What countries did you visit?
Does NSW count as a country?

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
A flat in central Melbourne >_>

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Ah. Now that would be Manifest. Specifically our Weiss cosplay- that was the most fun I've ever had at a con I think!

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting published. Viva OzTAKU ^____^

9. What was your biggest failure?
Hah. That's easy- the Graphic Design course I've recently quit.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Annemia. That's fun. I also can't quite seem to erase the image of my badly twisted ankle that I was determied to keep dancing on whilst out drinking with Foxy-kun. However, the next day was a whole other story- *kills ankle*

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Oh! This wonderful new computer! That and the trip to Melbourne. Okay, my parents bought me those. But I have, like, no money.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
O_o What the hell kind of question is that? Okay, definatly my friends. This year was a bitch and I wouldn't have made it through without all of them.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Well, walking out of a resteraunt whilst your friend's still in there talking to mates who live in a whole other states who she never gets to see... >_< That and Supanova and Animania's behaviour was somewhat sickly.

14. Where did most of your money go?
ANIME CONVENTIONS without a doubt! I saved hard all year to go to those! Second on the list is manga. Much of which I bought from conventions.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Awww, that would be my first con of the year, sweet holy Manifest! *goes teary-eyed*

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
Lol. I love this question. Probably Silent Jealousy by X-Japan, 'cos I got so hooked on it in the latter part of this year.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Sadder. Like I said, I'm gonna be glad when the clock hits 12. *has already had one home-made cocktail*
ii. thinner or fatter? ... fatter -_-
iii. richer or poorer? Richer, 'cos I managed to get $80 for Christmas! I rock!

18. What do you wish you'd done more?
Well that's obvious- attened more anime cons ^_~

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Surfing forums when I was supposed to be doing work in class -_-;

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Spent it with the family. They can all go to hell.

21. Did you fall in love in 2004?
Yes! Yet again! And as usual, it was quite painful for me. *hurry up you stupid clock*

22. How many one-night stands?
We talking sex or just hardcore making out? If it's the latter, maybe a couple.

23. What was your favorite TV program?
Somehow I managed to get hooked on Law & Order SVU... ah screw it, Futurama and Family Guy XD

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Yep! *feels all shiney and spiteful*

25. What was the best book you read?
Tokyo Babylon. Thank you evolution for creating CLAMP TT____TT

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
X-JAPAN!!! Seriously, I've gotten SO into these guys since this year! I even intened to purchase a hide plushie ^_^

27. What did you want and get?
Trips to anime cons.

28. What was your favorite film of this year?
Mmm... Grave of the Fireflies. Oh, and Team America!

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 19 and I got rather drunk, pashed a friend, ended up in a crying mess and performed horrid karaoke. It was a night I'd rather forget -_-

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not doing this fucking course.

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
Goth, as usual.

32. What kept you sane?
My music, my drawing and my friends. 'Specially Mel-chan ^_^

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
... shut up -_-

34. What political issue stirred you the most?
Our election. I swear to God it's rigged. *shoots Howard*

35. Who did you miss?
The friends I made at Manifest when I had to leave. *remembers crying as the plane took off because it felt as though she was being ripped away*

36. Who was the best new person you met?
My con friends! *glomps* [livejournal.com profile] fiathriel do you ever post? ^^;

37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
Oh, that's a tough one... Probably that it's better to confront people rather than let things smimmer. *still sucks at confrontation*

38. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"We gotta get out of this place
If it's the last thing we ever do
We gotta get out of this place
Girl there's a better life for me and you"

(Works so well for so many different things- BAS, QANTM, Brisbane, relationships... )

Well, that's it from me for the year. See you all in 2005! Try not to get too drunk to night- I actually want to see you guys in years to come O.o (And I don't mean as in identifying your alcohol-abused corpses at the local morgue.)
