I totally agree with what you're saying about Japanese culture (your avatar not withstanding XD). It's kinda hard not to be swept away with pretty shiney goth-loli trends - some of the gothy stores are starting to stock it, w00t!- and general outrageous appeal.
I didn't know you had a dollfie!!! So much dollfie yaoi/yuri among owners from what I've seen... goes to show that all those times one undressed their Barbie and put her in compromising positions with various Kens and/or plushies never completley goes away ^_~
Gah, there are far too many cliches in anime/manga. And yes, harem anime does drill its way into your brain after a while. (Thanks so much for setting that trend, Tenchi Muyo >.>) Even the beloved yaoi is becoming tiresome- apparently love is strictly for schoolboys only O.o
