Note to self- STFU
You are not that stupid, Fri.
NO-ONE can be that stupid.
Okay, so after three and a half years of searching you've finally been put on anti-depressants that help your concentration, emoness and sleep patterns among things. This is good.
However, it does NOT, I repeat, NOT mean you can do something as foolhardy as go back to studying, let alone go for a degree.
Go back to drinking and trying to find some temp work to get you into the swing of things.
What's that? You have several awards for writing and were the best creative author in your graduating year level (which might I add, as several years ago)? Though shit, that doesn't mean you want to be a journalist. Last year you were determined to do something with computers, and after school you were determined to be the best animator this side of the Pacific. Let us not forget that little graphic design "incident" that cost your parents several thousand dollars and made you swear never to partake in studying again.
Not to mention the non-existant attention span that earned you the third lowest score possible at the end of high school.
Go get a job and earn money instead of wasting more time studying a course you don't have the brains or committment to see through.

I don't know how long you've been on anti-depressants... but PLEASE take them every single day. They're a disaster for people who take them irregularly. You never get adjusted and yoyo even worse than without them. The first week or two was terrible for me.
... *insert random fluff here =D*

Woah, 'research' sounds scary, doesn't it?
I'm talking more about uni open days, and stuff like the Age Careers Expo, where you can meet the people who run or teach said courses. If you're thinking about it, but you have doubts, you need to talk to people about it and get some advice. People who know more about the topic at hand than your LJ friends do.

Have you thought about doing a TAFE course? Much cheaper than uni, so you're not throwing away thousands of dollars.
I've been floating around for nearly 4 years now trying to beat the depression and get my life together, and this year I started a multimedia TAFE course, and have been feeling so much better for it. Part of it is because I enjoy the subject, but a big part is just having something to do to occupy my time.
Well, there's your thought from a random stranger for the day ^_^
Take care!
